Harem

Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san – Boy that sees dead people visits a haunted hot springs inn, finds ghost chan and helps her move on while fighting off other inn guests.

Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria – Guy with solar powered smartphone is transported to another norse-mythology steeped world. Protag kun gets surrounded by magic-wielding maidens and a childhood friend.

Military/Action

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 – Season 3 of Attack on Titan, rejoice!

Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki – Historical anime about the beginning of the samurai.

Senjuushi – Anime adaptation of a game, this is set in a post-nuclear age where a group of rebels are fighting the empire with old firearms. It’s a battle between old guns vs new guns, in a battle for freedom.

Horror

Satsuriku no Tenshi – Based on a game, this anime features an amnesiac chan who teams up with a grim reaper-like guy as they try to escape an abandoned building. Getting a Machine for Pigs vibe from this anime.

Happy Sugar Life – Journey of a crazy psycho murdering chan.

Mecha

Planet With – The mecha genre has been declining for a while so we’ll see if this new anime original can slow the fall.

Zoids Wild – Was definitely not expecting a new installment of this childhood series. CG and anime clash again. Since Card Captor Sakura did so well with it’s new season, maybe this will too.

Music

Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight – Two singing chans follow their dreams to be on stage as part of a prestigious song and dance troupe.

Ongaku Shoujo (TV) – Failing idol group needs to look for a ringer. Looks like the Mighty Ducks, but with idol singers.

Mystery/Action

Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes – Anime version of Encyclopedia Brown or Sherlock Holmes. Looks really interesting in a Restaurant from Another World way.

Aguu: Tensai Ningyou – Mystery and murder in this high society world of intrigue.

Senien/Comedy/Drama

Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro – Nerdy bookworm chan on her way to school and the impediments along the way. This looks like best Summer 2018 anime candidate.

High Score Girl – Girls reks guy in Street Fighter. Friendship blossoms.

Island – Future guy washes up on an island and tries to unite the 3 clans that inhabit it before the island falls to ruin.

Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa – Employees form a death game to keep the CEO happy. Life mimics work.
